German Mardi Gras

FASCHING or Karneval is a "moveable feast" - Mardi Gras 2013 falls on Tuesday, February 12. Mardi Gras, or "Fat Tuesday", is the last day of the Karneval season. It is always the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

Fest Nacht is not only an outrageous party, it’s also the official start of Fasching Fredericksburg — a week-long (or more) celebration full of fun for all ages. Inspired by the German Mardi Gras, Fasching is a time to “let loose” and go crazy. Be sure to check out the other Fasching Fredericksburg events for this year. But get ready. We’ve got even more in store next year!

The Party of the Year! – February 2, 2013

Don’t be left out! This is the Rock-n-Roll party of the year! There’s no “come-as-you-are” tonight. Serious thought goes into the not-so-serious costumes. It’s BYOB baby, but when it comes to dancing and fun, it’s all-inclusive! Gather a table of 10 friends and get your ideas going! Let’s Rock -n-Roll!

For Table Purchaser ONLY

  1. Invite & Plan Dress Theme Invite friends and decide with your table-mates how you will dress. Get creative! Dress as a band, individual entertainers from the same era or music genre...whatever you want.
  2. Hand Out Guidelines/Wristbands Please distribute the enclosed Party Guidelines and wristbands to your table guests well in advance of the event. Remind them they MUST bring the wristband to get in. No exceptions.
  3. Information Sheet Please complete the information sheet on your table and bring it with you to the event.
  4. Table Decorating Your table is your stage! (Pun definitely intended.) If you’ve ever wanted to put a disco ball above your dinner table, now is your chance. Let’s see how creative you can get. Join forces with your table guests and play “make believe roadies”while putting together table decor that would outshine a typical Madonna concert. Show your stuff. Rock our world. The venue will be open from 8am to 1pm for table decorating. Ah…we mean, “stage” setup.
